The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) was looking for a way to manage their primary Web Presence along with many satellite sites for ODH initiatives and programs. The challenge was to implement a COTS web content management system that was robust enough to effectively handle their volumes of content, their intranet and be yet user-friendly enough to allow ODH non-technical staff manage content. Being a government agency, security and workflow were critical components of this project.

Interactive Ink recommended ODH use the COTS Base-10 Content Management Suite. Base-10 addressed all the requirements for security, scalability, ease of use and workflow processes. Most importantly, Base-10 was reasonably priced.

Interactive Ink integrated the ODH main website into the Base-10 content management solution within a 90-day period. The functionality of Base-10 provides ODH with the flexibility to create multiple templates for use with all bureaus and programs having different design specifications than currently being used. It also created a workflow system that supports ODH's internal processes, policies and procedures. Finally, Base-10 makes all content searchable for the public through a robust keyword search feature.
